Why Zamp for Meta.

Counted toward nexus.

Marketplace sales count toward economic nexus in most states, including California and Washington, even when the marketplace collects the tax.

Reported where states require it.

States like Washington and Texas still expect marketplace sales on your return. Zamp reports them, and you don’t pay that tax twice.

History checked against the change.

Zamp’s team reviews your Facebook and Instagram orders on both sides of August 26, 2025, so each is filed the right way.

A team that owns the outcome.

U.S.-based sales tax specialists handle registrations, filings, remittance and state notices, with your approval at each step.

Does Meta collect sales tax for me?

Not anymore. Since August 26, 2025, Meta no longer acts as a marketplace facilitator for Facebook and Instagram sales channel orders, so the seller collects and files the tax.

Do Meta sales count toward economic nexus?

In most states, yes. California and Washington count marketplace sales toward their thresholds; a few, such as Arizona, leave them out. Zamp applies each state’s rule.

Do I still have to report Meta sales?

In some states, yes. Washington and Texas, for example, expect marketplace sales on your return. Zamp reports them where required, and you don’t owe tax the marketplace already collected.

How do Meta sales get into Zamp?

Through your Shopify store’s Facebook & Instagram app, an upload of your Meta orders as a CSV or the Zamp API.

Do I owe tax on older Facebook and Instagram orders?

Orders before August 26, 2025 were generally collected by Meta as a marketplace facilitator. Zamp’s team reviews your history and the change date with you.

What does Zamp handle after the connection is live?

Zamp tracks nexus as you sell, registers you where you need to collect, prepares and files returns, remits payments and answers state notices. You approve new registrations and filings; the team does the work.
