The advent of digital currencies like bitcoin has brought us the possibility of a world where people can have full control over their economic lives - free to transact real value with anyone, anywhere, instantly, and with no third parties necessary. Zamp was founded with the intent of building this world. A world of financial inclusion. A world where people, not governments, and not banks, control the money.
Even in a developed country like the United States, approximately 7% of the population does not have access to a bank account, with rates as high as 20% among some populations. Sending money cross-border still requires expensive and cumbersome middle-men, which should not be the case in the age of digital currency.
We are developing tools to help people join and participate in the new digital economy. We are also contributing to some of the latest developments in digital currency / blockchain technology, and developing ways to make the benefits of digital currencies tangible to the masses.
